DÉCÈS DU MARÉCHAL IDRISS DÉBY ITNO

LE MALI ET LE SAHEL DOIVENT-ILS S’ATTENDRE AU PIRE ?

Le Président tchadien, Idriss Déby Itno est décédé des suites de ses blessures reçues lors des combats contre les rebelles venus de la Libye. Il était à la tête d’une unité de l’Armée républicaine tchadienne qui a mené d’intenses combats, le samedi 17 avril dernier, à quelques kilomètres de la capitale N’Djamena.

Engagé sur plusieurs fronts en Afrique dans la lutte contre le terrorisme, la mort du Président Idriss Déby Itno pourrait causer un désordre dans le Sahel et le Mali, où son armée mène la vie dure aux terroristes.

Dans un article publié dans notre dernière parution titré: «Tentative de coup d’État au Tchad : Qui en veut à Idriss Déby Itno ?», nous avons signalé de violents combats qui ont opposé, samedi 17 avril dernier, à quelques kilomètres de la capitale N’Djamena, l’Armée républicaine tchadienne et rebelles venus de la Libye.

Nos sources rapportent que le Président Tchadien a mené les opérations lors de ce combat. Il a donc succombé à ses blessures lors de ce combat, a affirmé l’Armée, hier mardi 20 avril, à la télévision nationale.

Son décès a suscité de nombreuses réactions en Afrique. Plusieurs Chefs d’États et personnalités africaines ont salué la mémoire d’un grand chef, un guerrier et panafricaniste. Tous reconnaissent en l’homme son engagement dans la lutte contre le terrorisme dans le Sahel.
